of the function of a nerve. The causes may be numerous, and
are both mechanical as well as metabolic. There may be pressure
on the nerve as in carpal tunnel syndrome. There may be metabolic
distgurbances such as diabetes or vitamin B12 deficiency. There
may be endocrine abnormalities. And there may have been exposure
to toxic metals and chemicals. |
