| Patients
may on occasion have symptoms traveling from the neck to the first,
second and third digits of the upper extremity. This may be
caused by pressure in the nerves both as they leave the neck (herniated
disc or foraminal narrowing) as well as pressure on the median nerve
in the wrist (carpal tunnel syndrome). This phenomenon of two
places of compression is known as double crush syndrome. |
