in the legs, or DVT's, may dislodge and travel to the lungs, resulting
in infarction of the lungs, and sudden death. Neurosurgical
patients are prone to dvt's because of mong operating times, prolonged
bed rest, paralysis of limbs, and alteration of coagulation status
due to brain tumors. |
